Boats on Roxby Beck, Staithes. This was my submission for Landscape Artist of the Year 2018 from sketches and photos.
Technically the groyne is the small pier this structure stands on, but everyone in South Shields calls it the Groyne. From sketches and photos.
This is a ‘Joiner’ of Paddy’s Hole at the mouth of the River Tees. From sketches and photos I tried to emulate David Hockney’s photographic joiners of the Eighties. This is an idea I will hopefully develop further.
